Welcome to Bad Women season 2!
After a successful first season of the bookclub, we're back with three more works of fiction where we will follow women who are complex, unsympathetic, angry and tired.
Just like in last season, we will be comparing themes, character arcs and storylines across three works of fiction. This fall we will be reading Boy Parts by Eliza Clark, The Vegetarian by Han Kang and Big Swiss by Jen Beagin.

The Vegetarian by Han Kang: This South Korean novel tells the story of Yeong-hye, a seemingly ordinary housewife who makes an abrupt decision to stop eating meat. This seemingly simple act becomes a catalyst for a chain of events, causing a rift between Yeong-hye and her family and society. The exploration of her vegetarianism delves deeper, becoming a metaphor for her struggle for autonomy and identity. The story is told from multiple perspectives, offering a fragmented and thought-provoking glimpse into Yeong-hye's world.
